| Massive Update |
Posted by Robert, on 20 Mar 2007 |
I am very sorry for the lack of updates lately. Anyway, here's what we've missed:
- 'Walk This Way', the collaboration single featuring Girls Aloud, was crowned #1- raising lots of money for 'Comic Relief'- and this gives the 'Babes their 5th chart topper. Weldone! - Ex-band members, Siobhan and Mutya, have been very busy preparing their up-coming solo material. Look out for them on the scene very soon- they're gonna be big!
There's not much else to say that you won't have heard. |

| Sugababes Blast Split Rumours |
Posted by Ryan, on 10 Nov 2006 |
SUGABABES star KEISHA BUCHANAN has blasted rumours the band are on the verge of splitting - insisting she can't understand why the media is so obsessed with the subject. With AMELLE BERRABAH replacing original bandmember MUTYA BUENA, who left last the Sugababes last year (05), the PUSH THE BUTTON singer feels like it's a new beginning for the band and, alongside other bandmember HEIDI RANGE, is excited about the new look girl group's future. She says, "It's really annoying. You get asked a question about a solo career, and we say 'Yes, one day but not now'. And then they just print the 'Yes' part. "We've been a band for six years and there must be a thousand interviews where we say right form the start, yes, we are three solo artists in a pop group, but we work as a band. We have only achieved half of what we would like, and with Amelle just joining eight months ago it's a brand new start for the band."

| Channel4 "The Big Interview" with Keisha |
Posted by Ryan, on 10 Nov 2006 |
Sugababes have got a greatest hits collection out next week ('Overloaded: The Singles') and to mark the enormity of the occasion - and to get away from the superficiality tag that's so often wrongly attached to pop music - we decided to pose founder member Keisha a selection of our big, BIG questions on life, the universe and everything. How did she get on? Rather well we think you'll agree...
- Hi Keisha, let's start with an easy one. Does God exist? Yes. It's just the feeling that you get. It's like the wind, you can't see it but you feel it. - What does she look like? He! I don't know. I don't think anyone knows what he looks like. But I guess he's pretty amazing. - What is the shape of the universe? Round isn't? Is it not? It could be square, I suppose. You don't know. I kinda thought it was round and we were in the middle. - Like a pea inside a balloon. Why are we here Keisha? I think everyone is here for a specific purpose and it's up to you whether you follow that path. I always knew I'd do something in front of the camera. Like if you have a five-year-old daughter and you can tell that she's an amazing singer, you just know what she's there for and that's to sing.

| Sugababes Keisha to go Solo |
Posted by Ryan, on 10 Nov 2006 |
SUGABABES star KEISHA BUCHANAN hopes to emulate BEYONCE KNOWLES by taking time out from a hit girl band and forging a successful solo career. READ MORE... SUGABABES star KEISHA BUCHANAN hopes to emulate BEYONCE KNOWLES by taking time out from a hit girl band and forging a successful solo career. The British pop singer, who is the only remaining original member of the trio after SIOBHAN DONAGHY's exit in 2001 and MUTYA BUENA quit last year (05), admits she needs to take a break from the British band to focus on her own ideas. The PUSH THE BUTTON star insists bandmates HEIDI RANGE and AMELLE BERRABAH have similar ambitions but denies the band will permanently spilt, despite their solo aspirations. She says, "We all want to do solo careers. "It is something we talk about a lot. We love what the girls in DESTINY'S CHILD did by going off and then getting together again later. I am sure things will happen naturally. "I think we need to take a break soon so that I can enjoy being me. People have said to me, 'Tell me about yourself,' and all I could say was, 'I'm a Sugababe.' That really upset me for a long time."
